Since I will start my Masters soon, I wanted to improve my English for Academic purposes. Although my travel agency had ensured me the course that ELC offers was exactly what I was looking for, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

However, after the first school day all my doubts were taken away. The teachers’ enthusiasm is contagious, the lesson methods are educational and fun. The content of the lessons varied greatly, (some examples: speaking exercises/watching interesting movies/reading/games) which made it easy to stay focused. During the lessons we were often encouraged to talk in our table groups and as the classes are small, everybody was able to practice his/her speaking skills a lot. Moreover, I have to mention my good experience with reviewing. Every topic was reviewed actively, which made it fairly easy to remember!

Not only the course was enjoyable and educational, I have met some wonderful and interesting people through ELC. In one class you can find heaps of different nationalities. Once, the assignment was to make a presentation about the city you live in. It was fascinating to hear stories about different cities in for example Brazil, Czech Republic, Japan and Saudi Arabia! Next to meeting them in school, there were a lot of opportunities to meet people in other circumstances as well! ELC offers so much more than courses, ranging from sightseeing trips to the Sydney Harbour Bridge Pylon to partying at the New Town Festival!

Overall I am very happy I chose ELC!
