HASTAMORIR CRISTANCHO, John Jairo

Hello, my name is John and I am from Colombia. I came to study English at ELC because I needed a preparation for my university and ELC has a direct entry agreement with Central Queensland University.
I am very happy I chose this school for many reasons:
First, I am extremely happy with my EAP program. I really liked the structure of the course and found it very intensive.
The program is organized with rolling on intakes and I think it is the best for an EAP course. It really fits everyone’s needs as everyone can start as soon as they are ready and progress at their own pace to their target level. It also keeps the class dynamic and adds a lot of diversity. The first few days can seem a little daunting, but as early as the second week, we can see how beneficial this system is.
During the course we had to complete many assignments. It was very intensive but also very beneficial to improve my skills. Our teacher gave us a lot of attention and feedback on our weaknesses and progress so that we knew what to focus on. I am very proud of my progress in writing especially and I think the assignments and corrections from the teacher really helped a lot. The oral presentations were also a great chance to work on our oral expression. There’s very regular testing so we can really measure our progress.
I would really recommend this course at ELC for anyone who is serious about their further studies and ready to prepare thoroughly.
John is currently following a Masters of Information Technology at CQU Sydney campus.
